How far is Comal Inn from the Comal River?
The Comal River & Tube Chute is a 3-minute walk (0.2 mi) from the Inn. Spring-fed river steps from your door; the clearest, coolest water in Texas. Texas Tubes is also an 8-minute walk (0.5 mi) — the closest tubing outfitter to the Inn.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in is available and can be arranged during your pre-check-in process through the Guest Portal.
How do I access my room after booking?
After booking, you will receive access to our Guest Portal where you can find your check-in information, door access code, and all booking details. We provide self-check-in for your convenience, though we are always available to help if needed.
Is parking available?
Yes! We offer free on-site parking for all guests. Each accommodation has designated parking spots, and our location is designed for guests who want to park once and walk everywhere. Parking passes are provided at check-in and must be displayed on your dashboard at all times.
Does Comal Inn allow pets?
NO. Comal Inn is a pet-free property. No pets of any kind are allowed on the premises at any time. If evidence of a pet is found during or after your stay, you will be charged a minimum $250 cleaning fee and may be asked to leave immediately without refund.
Is smoking or vaping allowed?
NO. All Comal Inn accommodations are 100% smoke-free and vape-free. This includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, vaporizers, marijuana, and any other smoking or vaping devices. A $200 cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of smoking or vaping is found.
Do the cottages have kitchens?
Our studio cottages (Juniper, Mountain Laurel, and Cypress) have mini kitchens with a mini fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. The New Braunfels Cottage and New Braunfels Room both feature full kitchens with a stove, oven, refrigerator, and all the cookware you need.
Can I book all the units for a group event?
Absolutely! Many guests book our entire property for weddings, quinceañeras, family reunions, and group gatherings. By booking the entire property, you can accommodate up to 16 guests, all staying next door to each other.

Muck & Fuss is a 4-minute walk (0.2 mi), Huisache Grill is 13 minutes (0.6 mi), and NB Civic/Convention Center is 4 minutes (0.2 mi). Gruene Hall is a 10-minute drive (3.4 mi).
How far are you located from Schlitterbahn?
Schlitterbahn East (Surfenburg and Blastenhoff) is an 8-minute walk (0.5 mi) from Comal Inn. From there, the free tram takes you to the Original Schlitterbahn park. Schlitterbahn sits on the banks of the Comal River and has been voted the World's Best Waterpark for 25 years.

What is your cancellation policy?
Travelers who cancel 1 week or more before 3:00 PM CST on the day of check-in are refunded their deposit. Travelers who cancel less than 1 week before 3:00 PM CST on the day of check-in are charged 100% of the booking amount. Please note: reservations made through certain online travel agencies (such as Booking.com) are subject to the cancellation policies listed on those platforms, which may differ from Comal Inn's standard policy.
