About the Brauntex
The Brauntex opened as a movie theatre on January 6, 1942, and showed films until 1998. A local nonprofit bought the building and reopened it as a performing arts theatre in 2000. Today it hosts concerts, comedy, ballet and theatre in downtown New Braunfels.
Coming in for One Night?
Lots of our guests come to town just for a show. One-night stays are available Sunday through Thursday outside peak season. Friday and Saturday nights have a 2-night minimum, and so does every night from June 1 to August 15, so a weekend show is a good excuse to stay and explore.
Want to check in early and settle in before dinner? Early check-in at 1 p.m. (instead of 3 p.m.) is $15. You can add it during pre check-in.
Dinner Before the Show

Pick Your Room
Couples usually pick a studio cottage with a king bed and jetted tub. Coming with friends? The New Braunfels Cottage has a private king bedroom, a second king bed and two full bathrooms. Compare all five units or use the room finder.
