Comal Inn Rental Agreement — Please review these policies before your stay.

Guest Portal & Pre Check-In

All check-in information for your stay will be available through your secure Guest Portal. This portal includes your pre check-in form, arrival instructions, parking details, Wi-Fi information, and your personal door code.

Completion of the pre check-in process is required in order to access this information. Your numeric door code and check-in instructions will be released in your Guest Portal by 3 PM on the day of your arrival.

To avoid delays or access issues, please be sure to complete the pre check-in in advance of your stay.

Access Guest Portal / Pre Check-In

NO Pets Allowed

NO PETS ALLOWED AT COMAL INN.

If you bring a pet, you will be charged $250 and asked to leave the property. No refund for unused nights will be issued.

NO Smoking or Vaping

Smoking or vaping is NOT permitted anywhere on Comal Inn property.

This includes rooms, patios, garden areas, and the parking lot. Violators will be charged a minimum $200 cleaning fee and asked to leave. No refund for unused nights will be issued.

Cancellation Policy

  • •Travelers who cancel 1 week or more before 3:00 PM CST on the day of check-in are refunded their deposit.
  • •Travelers who cancel less than 1 week before 3:00 PM CST on the day of check-in are charged 100% of the booking amount.

Please note: reservations made through certain online travel agencies (such as Booking.com) are subject to the cancellation policies listed on those platforms, which may differ from Comal Inn's standard policy.

Check-In Procedure

Check-in time is 3:00 PM.

We do not have a front desk or lobby. Your numeric door code will be available in your guest portal by 3 PM on the day of your arrival.

When you arrive, pull into the driveway, park, and head directly to your assigned room or cottage. Each unit is clearly marked with a sign by the door.

Check-Out Procedure

Check-out time is 11:00 AM.

  • • Turn off lights
  • • Adjust A/C or heat to a moderate temperature
  • • Lock your door
  • • Place the "check-out" card on the clip outside your door

Additional Policies

  • Comal Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Please keep noise to a minimum between 9:00 PM and 9:00 AM. Loud or unruly guests will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be issued.
  • Bachelorette and Bachelor parties are not permitted.
  • Guests must be 25 years or older to rent and must be present during the stay.
  • The reservation holder is responsible for all guests under their booking, including damages and adherence to policies.
  • Guests are liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury caused to or at Comal Inn.
  • Comal Inn reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for any unpaid balances or fees.

Occupancy & Cleaning

  • Maximum guest limits per room/cottage are strictly enforced. Extra guests must be approved in advance.
  • Small rooms (Cypress, Mountain Laurel, Juniper) do not include a cleaning fee, but excessive dirt or damage will result in additional charges.
  • New Braunfels Cottage: $35 one-time basic cleaning fee
  • New Braunfels Room: Does not include a cleaning fee, but excessive dirt or damage will result in additional charges.

Parking

Each unit is allotted:

  • New Braunfels Cottage/Room: 2 parking permits
  • Cypress, Mountain Laurel, Juniper Rooms: 1 parking permit each

No boat or trailer parking is available.

Housekeeping

There is no daily maid service to respect guest privacy. If you need towels, linens, or trash pickup, please contact us.

Place tied trash bags outside your door for collection.

Guest Consent to Receive SMS Messages

By providing your mobile phone number when making a reservation, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Comal Inn for purposes related to your stay. These messages may include:

  • • Booking confirmations and check-in information
  • • Stay reminders or updates
  • • Assistance during your visit
  • • Check-out details or post-stay thank-you messages

Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may reply "STOP" at any time to opt out of further messages.

Personally Identifiable Information

Your personal information will never be sold or shared with any third party for marketing purposes.
