Innkeepers
Brent & Julie Downey are lifelong New Braunfels locals. They purchased the property in January 2015, manage the inn, and live on-site. Guests appreciate the on-property ownership, local knowledge, and hands-on care.
A Little History
The Comal Inn property sits on one of the original lots from New Braunfels’ earliest days. The area has deep German roots and a long tradition of welcoming visitors to river days, local events, and Hill Country weekends.

My husband & I are from New Braunfels and we have lived in this area our entire lives and together have raised our 3 children in New Braunfels. We fell in love with this property and purchased it in January 2015. We manage the Inn and live on property.
